PARISH RELIGIOUS EDUCATION PROGRAM
St. Madeline Parish Religious Education Program is religious instruction or formation of our parishioners from ages 3 to 12. Having the guidelines from the Catechism of the Catholic Church as its basis, the mission of the St. Madeline Parish Religious Education Program is to reinforce the knowledge of the faith and the love of God introduced to the child in the home by the parents as primary educators.

Grades 1-6
Catechesis of Religious Education classes take place at St. James Regional Catholic School located at 500 Tome Street.
Grades 7
Confirmation candidates meet for 2 required classes and a retreat prior to the Confirmation Mass. Refer to the Confirmation Handbook and Study guide for class locations or contact the Rectory. -
Saint Madeline Parish's Religious Education Program follows the Archdiocese of Philadelphia's Curriculum of Religion. Periodic tests and quizzes are given to the students to evaluate their knowledge of the material presented.

Information for 2026-2027 PREP
This coming year, we will be offering 2 different programs. Our Traditional program will be held on Tuesday afternoons weekly from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm in St. James Regional School. Our NEW Family Catechesis program will be held on Tuesday evenings once a month from 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm in St. James Regional School. The cost of both programs is $175 for 1 child and $200 for 2 or more children.
Catechists and Aides are needed for both programs. If you are interested in becoming a Catechist or Aide, contact the rectory for more information - (610) 532-6880.
