CYO

Saint Madeline CYO offers many and varied activities for the young people of our parish family. Our grade and high school parishioners learn from their CYO leaders that God must be first in all we do.  All CYO members are expected to attend Mass each week and give God praise and glory by the reception of the Sacraments. Sports offered by St. Madeline CYO: basketball, volleyball, baseball, softball, and track.                                                                                  

Criteria for eligibility to play St. Madeline CYO Sports

  1.  Must be a member of St. Madeline Parish, St. Rose of Lima Parish, or St. Gabriel Parish

  2.  Or attend St. James Regional Catholic School

  3.  If you attend Public School, you must be a member of one of the 3 Parishes above and must attend the PREP program at your parish, if you are in grades 1-6.

  4. If you are a member of St. Gabriel Parish and they offer the sport, you must join with St. Gabriel CYO.

Coaching - Mandated Requirements

In an effort to create a safe and caring place to learn and grow, Archdiocesan policy requires that anyone wishing to volunteer at St. Madeline Parish must have: 1) the required security clearances; and 2) have completed all the necessary Safe Environment trainings. Before volunteering, please complete the following steps:

All adults involved in sports, both paid staff and those serving as volunteers, must obtain and submit the required background checks and clearances PRIOR to beginning service. There is a 90-day grace period permitted only for first time volunteers to complete training. Background checks and clearances are required to be in compliance for all prior to beginning service

All coaches, assistant coaches, paid staff and volunteers must be in full compliance in order to work with the CYO program. Additionally, all required training must be completed and all necessary acknowledgment forms signed.



It is the policy of the Archdiocese that a minimum of two adults who are in compliance will all requirements must be in attendance at all times.
