St. Madeline’s was home to the first Catholic priest to obtain a Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania. Reverand William J. McCallen was pastor from 1912 to 1924.

St. Mary Magdalene is actually the patron Saint for our parish. The name Madeiline was given to the church to honor the wife of one of your most generous founding fathers, Frederick J. Mitchell.
